DuPont has officially inaugurated its new customer technology center, the Cyrel Lab in São Paulo, integrated with its new headquarters in Brazil

In the opening presentation Tucker Norton, global business leader at DuPont Cyrel Solutions, reinforced the company's commitment to present the latest innovations to the flexo market through its Cyrel Lab. He highlighted the Cyrel Fast thermal plate processing system and the new Cyrel Lightning plates. Norton also presented figures from the newly updated lifecycle assessment, which compares flexo printing to gravure, as well as solvent versus thermal processing.

‘DuPont's investment in the Cyrel Lab is the biggest proof that we are betting on the Latin American market, especially the Brazilian one. Our customer technology center is open to meeting all parties in the flexo chain that are interested in learning more about and testing the latest technology for pre-press flexo plates. This will be the meeting point of flexographic technology in Brazil and Latin America,’ said Norton.

Eddy Fadel, Esko’s vice president and general manager of Packaging Supplies and an essential partner in the Cyrel Lab, reinforced the importance of the partnership between DuPont and Esko in offering the new technology for digital plate engraving and UV LED exposure. He highlighted the CDI Crystal and XPS Crystal, state-of-the-art equipment that simplifies the complexity of plate engraving and exposure and raises flexographic printing quality to new heights.
