Solimar Systems launches SPDE 9.4 with multi-user prepress interface

Solimar Systems has released Solimar Print Director Enterprise version 9.4, featuring a new ReadyPDF Prepress Console and enhanced color management capabilities designed for high-volume production environments.

The latest version introduces a thin-client interface enabling multiple users to test and configure ReadyPDF settings simultaneously without accessing the SPDE System Manager. The console provides concurrent multi-user access for collaborative testing, template-based configuration management for consistent processing parameters and comprehensive reporting integration with detailed PDF optimization analytics.

'The ReadyPDF Prepress Console provides a highly flexible and dynamic testing environment for our customers,' stated Mary Ann Rowan, chief experience officer of Solimar Systems. 'Development and pre-flight teams can now test, build and share configurations and templates concurrently, on their personal desktop or laptop.'

SPDE 9.4 introduces color modification options in the ReadyPDF module, offering print professionals enhanced control over black color processing. Features include rich black conversion to pure black for cost optimization, automatic controls for coverage exceeding 300 percent, intelligent detection and correction of poor black combinations and automatic optimization of near-black colors to pure black.

The release includes Windows Server 2025 compatibility, a new output intents color profile option, enhanced vector path processing controls and improved font mapping capabilities. Additional technical enhancements include enhanced object stream compression for optimal file sizes, configurable ripping triggers based on path node density and expanded font mapping controls.

'Our customers operate in high-volume, production print and mail environments and now have expanded onboarding capabilities,' Rowan noted. 'The ReadyPDF Prepress Console provides improved productivity from prepress to production print to electronic document creation and delivery.'

SPDE 9.4 is available immediately to active customers on Solimar's standard update process. The company will discontinue support for Windows 10 following Microsoft's end-of-support date of October 14, 2025.
