Teklynx adds GS1 RFID encoding to Codesoft

Software update supports Web URL encoding in EPC memory ahead of Sunrise 2027.

Teklynx International has released enhancements to its Codesoft label design software adding support for GS1's new EPC++ and ISO BD encoding schemes, enabling Web URLs to be encoded directly into RFID tag EPC memory and improving RAIN RFID encoding reliability and print performance in high-volume environments.

The update, developed in collaboration with TSC Auto ID Technologies, is designed to support compliance readiness ahead of GS1 Sunrise 2027 and emerging Digital Product Passport requirements, allowing organizations to encode standards-compliant RFID labels from a single platform covering design, encoding and printing.

'RAIN RFID has never had more momentum than right now,' said Travis Wayne, product manager at Teklynx Americas. 'With initiatives like the emerging Digital Product Passport regulations and GS1's Sunrise 2027, organizations need RFID solutions that are accurate, reliable and built for global standards.'

'These encoding schemes allow a user to encode a Web URL directly into EPC memory for easy redirection to a website,' added Chris Brown, RFID program director at TSC Auto ID Technologies. 'Teklynx has become the leader in RAIN RFID functionality and ease-of-use.'
