Fuji Copian UK launches wax thermal transfer ribbon

Fuji Copian UK has launched a wax thermal transfer ribbon, FW2, for flat head printers in Europe. 

Already available in Asia, FW2 aims to provide improved wax resistance. It is said to feature a new kind of resin formulation which preserves its characteristics as a wax and enhances mechanical resistance. 

Keisuke Yamaki, senior executive officer of the company’s sales department, said: ‘Our new formulation has been successfully promoted to our customers, to the point that it has now taken the lead in terms of sales, well ahead of our other wax products.’ 

FW2 works on a variety of paper-based substrates such as Vellum, plain papers, coated and synthetic papers, and others. It is suited to general purpose labels, labels with barcodes, texts and graphics, tags, and use in the retail and logistics fields. It is also able to handle information related to product traceability. 

The new formulation, which is coated in Asia, will be slit locally in the UK and is offered in a wide range of ribbons of different widths and lengths.
