MPS and ETPA strengthen partnership

MPS technology enables the Greek converter to maintain a competitive edge through automated production and strategic partnership.

Dutch press manufacturer MPS has strengthened its relationship with Greek converter ETPA Packaging through advanced flexographic technology and comprehensive service support, enabling the Komotini-based company to expand its diverse product portfolio.

ETPA operates MPS EF series presses to produce self-adhesive labels, flexible packaging for food and beverage applications, pharmaceutical blisters and cosmetic lamitubes. The automated systems deliver fast job changeovers, consistent registration and minimal waste across varied substrates and run lengths.

'At ETPA, we handle a wide variety of substrates and run lengths. The MPS EF model allows us to do that without compromise,' said John Drenogiannis, CEO of ETPA. 'It's not just about print quality - it's about production efficiency, and MPS delivers that. We're particularly proud users of the EF7A press model, the most automated label press on the market.'

MPS provides predictive maintenance tools and remote diagnostics to address potential issues before they impact operations. This approach supports ETPA's continuous production requirements across multiple packaging sectors.

'We don't wait for things to go wrong,' said Davide Pomati, regional sales director at MPS. 'Our approach is built around prevention and speed. With ETPA, we've developed a strong support rhythm that keeps them running at full potential.'

Max's, MPS's Greek agent, led by Dimitris Sirmatakis, provides local technical expertise and responsive service support. The regional presence enhances the manufacturer-converter relationship through direct communication and rapid response times.

'Dimitris, Costas, and their team are more than a representative - they're a true partner,' said Pomati.

'Always close and aligned with our goals,' added Drenogiannis. 'Their support makes a real difference.'

The partnership emphasizes automation and performance optimization to support sustainable packaging production. MPS technology aligns with ETPA's environmental objectives while maintaining production efficiency and quality standards.

'We look for partners who are thinking ahead,' noted Drenogiannis. 'MPS doesn't just provide machines; they provide technology that grows with us.'

ETPA Packaging operates as one of Greece's largest adhesive label producers and a major manufacturer of flexible packaging materials, focusing on high-quality printed packaging with value-added customer support and innovative product development.
