Peacock Group unites Melbourne teams
Two businesses to share new 8,000 sqm Dandenong South facility.
Peacock Group has announced a new purpose-built 8,000 sqm facility in Dandenong South, Melbourne, that will bring its Peacock Bros. and insignia businesses together, with the official opening planned for the first half of 2027.
The site will increase the company's combined warehouse and production footprint by approximately 66 percent and provide approximately 56 percent more production space. Around 150 employees will relocate progressively from Knoxfield and Oakleigh, with the Knoxfield team moving first and the Peacock Bros. Oakleigh team following in early 2027. Peacock Bros. and insignia will keep operating as established businesses within the group, but sharing a base will let their teams work more closely and give customers wider access to the group's end-to-end offering.
'Bringing our Oakleigh and Knoxfield teams together is a significant step forward for Peacock Group and for how we work together as one team. We've taken the time to find a site that works for our people and our current operations, while giving us the space and flexibility to support where we want to take the business in the future,' said Ryan McGrath, CEO of Peacock Group. 'Peacock Bros. and insignia have established teams and expertise, and the new facility gives us an opportunity to bring those strengths closer together in a way we haven't been able to before. It will create a larger, more modern environment for our teams, with better facilities and more space for our growing operations,' he explained.
A key feature of the site will be the Peacock Group Solutions Centre, a purpose-built customer experience space showcasing technologies from across the group, which also includes AMR Hewitts PrintPackaging. The group's offering spans industrial coding and marking, printing and labeling, mobile computing, identification and tracking, color labels and packaging, and software. AMR Hewitts will continue to operate from its Tullamarine location, with its packaging products showcased in the center.
Customers will be able to see the technologies in action across industries including manufacturing, warehousing, transport and logistics, retail, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, beauty and healthcare. The space will also give the group a dedicated area to collaborate with its technology partners.
'Customer conversations have increasingly shifted from individual products towards complete offerings. They want to understand how technologies such as mobile computing, barcode scanning, printing and labeling, coding and marking, RFID, software and data capture can work together across their operations. The Solutions Centre will give us a practical way to demonstrate that end-to-end capability and help customers explore the right combination of technologies for their business,' added McGrath.
