Vetaphone marks 75 years of innovation

Vetaphone, established in 1951 by Verner Eisby and still family-owned, is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2026, with CEO Michael Behrens saying the company remains focused on pioneering new surface-treatment technology rather than resting on its history.

'We are very proud to be known as the company that invented corona treatment, but more important to us is how we use our unmatched experience and know-how to improve surface treatment through a continuous process of research and development. The market is constantly changing, and we must ensure we are ahead of the trend,' said Behrens.

Behrens credited generations of employees for building strong relationships with customers and partners, adding that the company's ethos is based on innovation and remains driven to be 'best in field' for printers, converters and extruders seeking quality surface treatment. Pointing to the five years since Vetaphone's 70th anniversary, he noted the company has strengthened its position as global leader in the technology through ongoing investment, including opening a fully equipped demo center and a Test Lab facility in Denmark, both offering customized interaction between its technicians and customers' technicians.

Vetaphone also maintains a 24/7/365 global service commitment. 'As an important and fully integrated part of the complete production line, surface treatment must always contribute to reliable performance, consistent quality and overall production efficiency,' Behrens explained.

Speaking for the family, Frank Eisby said: 'I am sure my father would be very proud of what we have achieved over the past 75 years. But I am also looking forward with a great degree of confidence, knowing that we have built a highly skilled organization that has both experience and commitment. Vetaphone is unique, and we intend to keep it that way.'
