Charlotte Williams joins CS Labels to add in-house resource to manage ISO and BRC compliance

Digital printer CS Labels has appointed Charlotte Williams as quality manager, a role that has been specifically created to cope with increased demand and provide a dedicated in-house resource to manage ISO and BRC compliance, in addition to managing general overall quality improvements within every facet of the business.

Williams is an experienced manager working in quality roles for more than 10 years in the vitamin and diagnostic arenas, eight years of which was spent at Quest Vitamins.

‘My role is to continue improving quality and efficiency, in terms of production, as well as the company as a whole,’ Williams said. ‘I have vast experience in process change and the management of that and CS Labels is a growing company that I know is receptive to change which is obviously a key part of its success. In my previous role I used to work with CS Labels as a customer and already had a very good experience with the company. It offers excellent products, top of the range manufacturing equipment and is clearly innovative. I’m looking forward to being a part of that as an employee.’

CS Labels has been awarded British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standard accreditation for packaging, having been classified as being able to produce digital labels and flexible pouches that are suitable for all applications including the coveted high risk category. CS Labels has developed a dedicated manufacturing facility designed to comply with BRC standards as part of its ongoing expansion program.

Simon Smith, the digital printer’s managing director, said: ‘I already have several staff members collaborating in order for us to achieve our quality management goals at a high level. They have been through several training programs both in-house and externally and as such I am delighted to say we have excelled, for example we have achieved the highest level of accreditation for BRC packaging compliance.

‘However we are still growing, particularly with the clean zone BRC approved work, and in order to bring that talent even closer together and offer further resource I made the decision to specially create a dedicated management post that Charlotte is more than capable of filling.’

CS Labels has claimed further praise for its digitally printed flexible pouches, with its work on packaging for Graze snacks winning more than half of the votes in the Packaging category at the recent Earth Island Solutions Awards.
