Promotions at Continental Datalabel

Continental Datalabel has named Pat Flynn as its new president and chief operations officer, while Rich Filip has been appointed executive vice president.

Established in 1952, Continental Datalabel continues as a family owned and operated business

Flynn has been part of the Continental Datalabel team for 26 years, and had previously held the position of director of Western operations before being promoted to his new role. He will assume responsibilities immediately and succeeds Tim Flynn, who has moved into a strategic role on the board of directors.

Pat Flynn has played a major role in the creation of new products and improving Continental Datalabel’s manufacturing processes. His most recent project of implementing a new ERP and CRM integration, has provided enhancements to the way information is stored and shared throughout the company, and delivers new improvements to business insights.

‘First, I would like to personally thank our valued distributor partners for their continued support of Continental Datalabel,’ said Pat Flynn: ‘As the market changes for all of us on the trade manufacturing side of the business, the changes have been monumental for our partners. We intend to make updates to equipment, and products and services, to help our distributor partners be the best they can be and offer the end consumers products that work well, and look good whether on a box for shipping or directly on their product.’

In addition, Continental Datalabel has promoted Rich Filip to executive vice president, also effective immediately. Filip has been part of the Continental Datalabel team for 29 years and previously held the position of director of sales before being promoted.

Filip said: ‘I am excited to accept the new position of executive vice president and will lead the team into the next stage of our strategic development. I feel this new opportunity puts me in a position to have more impact in expanding the scope of our distributor partnerships and keeping our team focused on the total distributor experience.’

Established in 1952, Continental Datalabel continues as a family owned and operated business. With the transition of Tim and Tom Flynn into board positions, Continental Datalabel moves into its third generation with Pat Flynn and Rich Filip, who are cousins.

Pat Flynn and Rich Filip have recently worked together on the strategic planning of the printer’s future development. A significant contribution the pair has already initiated is adding new, state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment. Continental Datalabel is in the process of opening a new facility in Dallas, Texas, which is due to open in March.
