Flint Group cuts emissions by third
The company has reduced greenhouse gas emissions by more than a third since 2019.
Flint Group has cut greenhouse gas emissions by 34 percent against its 2019 baseline, according to its 2024 Sustainability Report covering the period from January 1 to December 31, 2024.
The supplier of inks, coatings, and service offerings for the global packaging and print industry has achieved a 31 percent reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions, marking progress towards its 2030 target of a 46.2 percent reduction. The company achieved a 24 percent reduction in total electricity consumption versus its 2022 benchmark, with 23 percent now coming from renewable sources, while water consumption is 24 percent lower than in 2022.
The report details gains against Flint Group's Prism framework, which is centered on Product, Planet and People. In 2024, the company received a Gold Rating from EcoVadis and approval of its greenhouse gas reduction targets from the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). Flint Group also achieved a B rating for Climate Change and Water Security and an A- for Supplier Engagement in the CDP indices.

The company launched ink and coating developments tailored for narrow web, flexible packaging, paper, board and sheetfed offset applications. Flint Group's 360°ServiceCode platform helped customers save over 650 tons of CO2 emissions in 2024.
