Hauer Etiketten has invested in a Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+LM, its first piece of Screen equipment, and the first L350UV+LM model to be installed in Austria.
Martin Hauer, CEO of Hauer, commented: ‘The decision to invest in Screen technology was based on a number of key deciding factors. Most importantly, the overall print is of the highest quality compared to its competitors in the industry. Secondly, the low migration features of the press open further opportunities for our business in short-run food package labelling.
‘The customer service we have received from Screen Europe and their Austrian partner MCA Pro has been first class, with very professional technicians and good all-round communication and efficiency during and after installation. Also significant are the quicker delivery times; less complicated realization of serialization or numerous variations of a label; and the overall added benefit of the haptic experience of the ink.’
The Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+LM came first in the ‘Best Label Printer’ category at the European Digital Press Association (EDP) Annual Awards.
Hauer continued: ‘Demand for labels is ever-increasing, as such, we were looking to extend our portfolio. Short-run jobs and jobs with a high number of variations will be produced in a fraction of the time of conventional printing with this new equipment. Customers want more variety in design and size of labels, whilst demand for visual impact is also growing. We are now able to match the changing requirements of the market in a more effective way.’
‘The feedback from Hauer Etiketten has been very positive. The delivered low migration solution – a combination of new Screen LM ink and a special curing process under inert gas – is opening the door to completely new applications for the food packaging industry,’ said Martin Strobel, managing director, MCA Pro Austria. ‘We partner with Screen because we know we’re selling first-rate reliable technology that customers love. The L350UV+LM label press is another example of the continuing innovation coming from the Japanese company, which provides substantial, tangible benefits for our customers.'
