Nadco Tapes & Labels returns to digital with Mark Andy Digital One

Custom adhesive specialist Nadco Tapes & Labels has reintroduced digital printing capability to its business through the acquisition of a Mark Andy Digital One.

Digital One is an entry-level, small footprint dry toner label press featuring in-line converting and finishing, flexo decoration and digital print

Th company is not entirely new to digital printing, but was hesitant about investing in another digital press due to prior experience with a machine said to not meet the company’s needs. Digital was in its infancy when Nadco Tapes & Labels acquired its first digital press, but the company was introduced to the Mark Andy Digital One around Labelexpo Americas 2016.

Digital One is an entry-level, small footprint dry toner label press featuring in-line converting and finishing, flexo decoration and digital print, and Neil Doniger, owner of Nadco Tapes and Labels, explained that Digital One has allowed his business to reduce stock inventory by five percent.

‘Mark Andy didn’t just sell us a press, they sold us a future,’ commented Doniger. ‘We are proud of our ability to bend industry norms, doing things people haven’t done before and solving problems for the printing and die-cutting world. This digital press is an extension of that, making us one of the best-kept secrets in the converting market.’

For Nadco Tapes & Labels, capability and application range of a digital hybrid asset were the most important factors in its investment decision. ‘Lack of the need for expensive topcoat is a game changer,’ stated Doniger. ‘This flexibility paired with our current expertise in tape now allows us to service any market worldwide.’
