Packtime Innovations gets Omet XFlex X6 press

New Delhi headquartered Packtime Innovations has invested in an Omet Xflex X6 narrow web combination printing and converting flexo press for its Pune plant.

The 8-color press with 530mm width features both UV and hot air drying options. It is equipped with one rotogravure station, two corona web treaters, web cleaner and an in-line camera system. The sale and installation has been completed by Weldon Celloplast, Omet’s distributor in India.

Anand Singh, vice president, Technical at Packtime Innovations said, ‘Omet machines are robust, operator friendly, ergonomically designed and adaptive to various inline processes. The machine is supported by highly skilled and knowledgeable team. Though this is the first flexo press installed at the plant, we have the capacity to add four more presses in the future at our factory.’

Kanwardeep Sahni, director at Weldon Celloplast, said, ‘The Xflex X6 flexo press is a pay-back investment for any company looking for high productivity, efficiency and high quality printing results. It can integrate several printing and converting technologies in-line and process substrates from 12-micron film to light cartons.

The press has operator friendly features like fully removable inking cassettes and light ink pans, automatic set-up, pre-registration, and easy link to intranet and ERP. Omet Xflex X6 can achieve perfect register at high production speed with flexo direct-drive technology and gearless concept.’

‘Packtime is a very prestigious customer and will create innovative labels and packaging with the Omet XFlex X6,’ Sahni concluded.
