Springfield Solutions installs Matho waste extraction system
The UK’s Springfield Solutions has installed a vacuum waste handling system from Matho, designed to capture, cut and extract eight edge trims from four finishing lines into a 1,000 liter big bag.
The installed Cuttobag CB-1000.1 is equipped with two Cuttopipe CM-160 in-line cutting systems, complete piping system, a frequency controlled transportation fan and a material separator. As Springfield Solutions runs a large volume of filmic material, an anti-static-system is installed inside the material separator to avoid blockages inside the unit. To recover the heated or cooled air, an air return system has also been installed.
As part of a recently completed 1.3 million GBP (1.68 million USD) expansion project by Springfield Solutions, the Matho system is intended to handle a projected production increase of 30 percent.
