Sun Chemical to showcase sustainable portfolio at Labelexpo Europe 2025

Sun Chemical has confirmed it will present its latest innovations in sustainable and compliant inks, coatings and adhesives for the label and packaging sectors at Labelexpo Europe 2025 in Barcelona from September 16-19.
The company will showcase its comprehensive portfolio of print technologies at booth 3D92, spanning analogue and digital platforms engineered to meet evolving performance, compliance and sustainability demands. The range includes advanced UV LED flexo systems and cutting-edge digital inkjet technologies designed to support efficient production, high-impact visuals and circular packaging workflows.
Sun Chemical's exhibit will feature high-performance inks, coatings and adhesives including UV, UV flexo, UV LED, water-based technologies and its market-leading Electron Beam systems for labels, sleeves and packaging.
The UV LED portfolio includes SolarWave Integra standard UV LED flexo inks, SolarWave FSP migration-compliant UV LED flexo inks, and SunWave LED coatings available in gloss, stampable, matt and migration-compliant grades. Additional offerings include SolarWave Panther high-density blacks optimized for curing at high density and SolarScreen Wave UV LED screen inks.
Sustainability remains a top priority for Sun Chemical, particularly compliance with extended producer responsibility legislation including Europe's Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation. The company will showcase recyclable options including SolarWave Integra UV LED ink combined with EV-LU029 coating for retention grade recyclable applications.

The company will also introduce new migration-compliant screen ink portfolio for labels, along with migration-compliant varnish, tactile varnish and digital ink technology featuring LED curable options with updated formulas compliant with recent regulatory changes.
Sun Chemical will present SunColorBox, a set of tools and services designed to enable consistent and accurate digital color communication across the entire packaging supply chain, helping customers manage colors efficiently whether printing spot colors, CMYK or using extended gamut processes.
