DataLase and Intralink partner to target market expansion in China

In-line digital printing technology specialist DataLase has formed a partnership with Intralink Group to further business development in China and the Asia-Pacific region.

DataLase CEO Dr Chris Wyres – ‘Intralink’s hands-on approach and extensive in-country contacts will enable us to rapidly establish channel partnerships and realize the significant growth potential in China.’

Founded in 1990, Intralink is headquartered in the UK and has offices in Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul and Taipei. It develops and executes sales, licensing and investment strategies for European and American companies seeking growth in new markets in Asia. It offers a range of pre- and post- market entry services, including opportunity assessments, distributors and supplier searches, as well as investment coordination and local representation.

Intralink will work with DataLase to develop channel partnerships with coding and marking companies in China, as well as developing strategic partnerships with manufacturers of laser diodes and sub-systems for utilization in DataLase in-line digital printing platforms.

The partnership builds on the success of the launch of SpeciaLase, a new division of Sato, in Japan in October. Intralink supported DataLase in establishing its business in Japan.

DataLase CEO Dr Chris Wyres described the Asia-Pacific region as one of ‘high growth’, which it is servicing through the strategic partnership with Sato. ‘Intralink’s hands-on approach and extensive in-country contacts will enable us to rapidly establish channel partnerships and realize the significant growth potential in China.’
