Electron beam (EB) system manufacturer PCT Engineered Systems is to host a series of seminars across the US to discuss the benefits, issues, regulatory considerations, safety impact and sustainability potential of implementing EB curing for printing and converting operations.

PCT Engineered Systems to promote EB in packaging through seminars

The seminars are to be offered regionally and will take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in September for the Midwest, in Atlanta, Georgia in November for the Southeast and in Newark, New Jersey in January next year for the Northeast.

Titled ‘EB Benefits in Packaging’, the seminars will offer information for anyone interested in learning more about the value that EB technology can bring to packaging operations, including financial, sustainability and safety advantages.

Presentations will cover topics such as: the benefits and practical applications of EB in packaging; innovations in EB curing; packaging safety trends, discoveries and issues; EB design considerations from the perspective of a major printing press manufacturer; and an ink manufacturer’s perspective on using EB inks and coatings.

In addition, the seminar’s keynote presentation, Preserving Your Company’s Intellectual Property, will address why American manufacturing needs to be much more vigilant about protecting its innovation and intellectual property

The seminars are targeted at printers, converters, packagers, processing executives and other invested parties, with the cost to participate 295 USD per person for reservations made before August 15 (395 USD thereafter).

Venues and more detailed agendas will be announced this summer.
