Reflex makes first UK order for Landa W10

Will Parker, Reflex, commented: ‘We were the first business to sign an LOI for a Landa Press in 2012 for their W5, and four years on, I was here first thing on day one of drupa to become a paid-up customer for the W10. Why? Because the disruptive nature of Landa technology perfectly mirrors our business strategy. But also, it answers so many of the issues that our customers are looking to solve. Shorter runs, increased flexibility and greater consumer engagement. Today, digital packaging conversion becomes truly industrial.’

Established in 2002 and today employing over 560 people, Reflex has a turnover approaching £100 Million.

The Landa W10 is designed to print mainstream flexible packaging applications on any standard plastic substrate at 656 ft/min. (200 m/min). The crossover point with analog is claimed up to 30,000 feet (10,000 linear meters).

‘Sustainability was another reason why the Landa W10 resonates so well with our business – its credentials are impeccable,’ said Parker. ‘Four years on, for all those that told me that Landa would never get there, they must be eating their words today. Quite clearly, the technology is not only here, but it’s here bigger and better, faster and stronger than anyone ever anticipated.’
