Vampire Vape makes labeling investment

Vampire Vape, a supplier of e-cigarettes and vaping liquids, has upgraded its bottle labeling equipment to keep pace with the growing demand for its products.

Vampire Vape has invested in a Pak Leader PL-501 labeling line to help meet demand for its e-cigarette products

Electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes), also known as personal vaporizers (PVs) or electronic nicotine delivery systems, are battery-powered vaporizers that have a similar feel to tobacco smoking. Vaping liquids are the solutions that are atomized using a heating element when ‘smoking’ an e-cigarette.

E-cigarettes are proving increasingly popular as an alternative to tobacco, driven by increasing legislation and social efforts to limit and inhibit smoking.

As a result of the growing demand, Vampire Vape was looking to upgrade its labeling operation which had previously been dependent on manual handling and labeling equipment that could not cope with the increased volume of orders.

To keep pace with the growing demand for its products and volume of orders, Vampire Vape invested in a Pack Leader PL-501 through Advanced Dynamics. The PL-501 has a one-touch screen for easy operator use and can accurately place labels every time. Exclusively available in the UK from Advanced Dynamics, the PL-501 is applying labels to containers of various sizes from 10ml, and is operating at five times the speed of Vampire Vape’s filling equipment.

Vampire Vape managing director Phil Boyle said: ‘We did look at equipment further afield but we try to source all our needs from within the UK and the PL-501 from Advanced Dynamics was the perfect fit for our production line.

‘It’s very flexible and is currently labeling our own range e-liquid products in all container sizes. It looks fantastic, is boosting productivity and does everything we want.

‘The machine labels the products accurately and consistently and once you turn the equipment on we don’t have to touch it for hours. When we set up three years ago we were hand labeling around 1,000 bottles a day – the PL-501 is doing about 120 bottles a minute which means we can deploy staff to more productive tasks, saving us money and labor.’
