D.W. Renzmann develops Rotamax distillation line

D.W.Renzmann, provider of cleaning solutions and distillation facilities for the graphic arts, paints and printing ink industries, will present at drupa 2008 the latest results of the development of its Rotomax distillation line. According to D.W.Renzmann the distillation performance has been improved significantly without enlarging the design effort or increasing the price.

The Rotomax distillation line allows the automatic treatment of contaminated solvents and residue inks without requiring operator supervision. After treatment only a minimal amount of concentrated slurry or solids remain as waste. Diluted or washing solvents with difficult contamination properties can also be regenerated and recycled.

The heating system features a steam heated bottom. Thus good heat transmission and constantly high heating power is achieved separate from fill level. The discharge of residue and effective self-cleaning of the heated bottom is accomplished by a scraper system with a wiper. Monitoring is carried out by load cells. Due to the special construction of the system there is no possibility of a malfunction of the level sensors. Fill level, distillation performance and distillation output is displayed; fill, refill and residue amounts can be adjusted at will.

By enclosing the discharge area emissions are effectively limited. Additionally, both boiling point and heating can be lowered by distillation performed under vacuum conditions. Due to the type-examination-tested stirring and scraper system which satisfies all safety regulations ATEX-conforming operation is ensured.
