Seeing the growing success of its FA 103 adhesive for direct contact with fresh meat and other fresh and fatty food products, Mactac is broadening its range of facestocks.

Three new face materials are now being coated with the FA 103 adhesive: Mactab White (vellum); Macgloss (white wood-free coated paper); and Supergloss (white wood-free cast coated paper). These new facestocks complement the existing range which includes
Velvet/Maccoat (machine coated medium gloss paper), Metalized Mactab Bright Silver (vacuum metalized paper); and Macpropy 629TC (polypropylene top coated) constructions.

Exact width service is now also offered for the existing Velvet and Maccoat constructions.

Mactac’s FA 103 ISEGA-certified adhesive has been developed to comply with the EU Directive 85/572/EEC for direct labeling of fatty foodstuff like freshly slaughtered meat and other fresh food products.

‘This broader product range will help roll label printers satisfy the growing need of food manufacturers and distribution chains for safe and attractive fresh food direct labeling,’ said the company in a statement.
