Michelman develops new UV inkjet primer

Michelman will launch JetPrime UV 100 at Labelexpo Europe 2017, a new primer that shows ‘significant improvement’ on challenging paper substrates in ink performance and print quality when used for UV inkjet printing applications.

Michelman said JetPrime UV 100 enhances the ease of printing as it is formulated for use with multiple paper types including coated, uncoated and thermal paper substrates. It is claimed to be an effective primer for label printing, particularly wine label applications, where it has been tested and approved by major original equipment manufacturers. 

Julie Cross, technical director at Domino Digital Printing Solutions, said: ‘Michelman’s JetPrime UV 100 allows our customers to print on more demanding label stocks and meet the print quality and end user expectations. The increased flow and adhesion of our ink set on the primed media expands the application space for Domino.’

JetPrime UV 100 will be presented at Labelexpo Europe 2017.
