Screen launches high-resolution version of Spekta 2 screening software

Screen has introduced Spekta 2 HR – a new high-resolution option to its innovative Spekta 2 hybrid screening solution that reproduces ultra smooth images by combining the best of conventional and FM Screening.

With a 15 micron dot size in the highlight and shadow areas, Spekta 2 HR enables users to print very fine detail avoiding moir clashes, making it particularly suitable for high-quality catalogue and brochure work, and jobs featuring integrated metallics.

The company said in a statement: ‘The huge benefit of Spekta 2 HR that it is easy to implement and achieves outstanding quality results. Another important feature of this software is its ability to reduce ink usage by as much as 20 per cent resulting in considerable savings for printers.’

Spekta 2 users can add Spekta 2 HR for free and all future Spekta 2 packages will include the Spekta 2 HR facility as standard. The software is available immediately from Screen and its reseller partners.
