Futamura appoints Iberian sales manager

Futamura has appointed Jordi Garcia Lacalle as Iberian sales manager. With the newest addition to the regional sales team, Futamura, a global manufacturer of renewable and compostable cellulose films, hopes to further strengthen the company’s commercial presence across Spain and Portugal.

Lacalle takes over from Didier Verhaert, an established team member who has managed the Iberian and Southern France region for several years. Lacalle’s background is in the primary packaging sector of the pharmaceutical industry, where he built extensive experience working with high-performance packaging products and supporting customers in highly regulated environments. Lacalle studied microbiology, and his experience brings valuable technical knowledge and a strong customer-focused approach to Futamura’s sales organization.

Based near Barcelona, Lacalle will be responsible for developing Futamura’s business across the Iberian region, working closely with new and existing customers to support their sustainability and packaging performance objectives. He is excited to get started in the flexible films sector and expand the company’s presence in key market segments.
