Nowofol starts expansion work in Siegsdorf with ground-breaking ceremony

Nowofol is to start work on expanding its production facility in Siegsdorf, Germany after staging a ground-breaking ceremony earlier this month.

Strengthening the community and region around Siegsdorf is a policy of the Nowofol board of directors and shareholders. It acquired a 20,000 sq m plot of land in 2008.

The polypropylene and fluoropolymer film specialist has been based in Siegsdorf for over 40 years, with construction of the expanded facilities to be carried out by local companies.

The expanded production plant and office facilities will be completed by the end of 2013.

It said the last five years have witnessed a steady growth in core areas of the business, implementation and certification of the quality management system in accordance with DIN ISO 9001 standards, and the energy management system in accordance with DIN ISO 50001 standards, as well as numerous new developments in the fields of monoaxially stretched flat film made from polypropylene and other types of polyolefin.
