DigiFlex signs distributor for Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan
DigiFlex has signed up Nissa Centrum as its exclusive distributor in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
The DigiFlex FlexoJet 1725 is an inkjet-based CtP platemaking system for photopolymer flexographic, letterpress, dry-offset and silkscreen printing technologies.
DigiFlex has recently confirmed the sale of its 50th system, as well as important installations in markets across Europe (see Labels & Labeling #5, 2013 for a profile on German label printer Erhard Küchler and its investment in pre-press).
It has identified Russia as one of its key markets for further European expansion, with DigiFlex chief executive officer Hezy Rotman saying: ‘Russia was one of our highest priorities in our geographical expansion marketing plan in Europe.
‘We are glad to have Nissa as our strategic business partner and I'm confident that Nissa’s network will provide us with the market penetration needed to reach our full sales potential in this region.’
Mikhail Kuvshinov, strategy and marketing director of Nissa, said: ‘People could stop reading but will never stop eating, so packaging is and will be a driver for years and years.
‘Technology changes rapidly, with filmsetters become things of the past. Small flexo, letterpress and silkscreen printers need a substitution for their pre-press needs, but one that is cheaper, more robust and with higher quality.
‘We see DigiFlex FlexoJet as a win-win solution; 100 percent compatibility with existing presses is granted by using the same analog plates. Coupled with very competitive both cost of ownership and purchase price makes the DigiFlex solution very promising.’
