Interflex reports gains with Heaford mounter
Scottish converter improves register accuracy and brings butt fit cutting in-house.
Interflex Dalkeith has reported improvements in print accuracy, mounting speed and workflow flexibility following the installation of a Heaford ModularMount MM3 semi-automatic plate mounter just over a year ago.
The investment marked a return to Heaford after a period with an alternative system that fell short of expectations. Since installation, the converter has resolved register challenges on tight-tolerance jobs, significantly increased plate mounting speed and brought butt fit cutting in-house through the MM3's integrated cutting tools.
'For some jobs where the register was particularly tight, the results were instant with an immediate improvement,' said Craig McNeill, print manager at Interflex Dalkeith. 'We are now cutting butt fit jobs on the mounter with a great deal of success. The speed we mount jobs has also greatly improved.'
McNeill also highlighted Heaford's after-sales support as a key factor in the investment's success, with minor issues resolved remotely by phone and online.
'ModularMount is an excellent machine with superb build quality. It has made a massive difference to us here in Dalkeith,' he concluded.
