Prodifac adopts Leibinger coding systems

Monaco cosmetics maker deploys seven CIJ printers across glass, plastic and card packaging.

Prodifac, a Monaco-based luxury cosmetics manufacturer, has deployed seven Leibinger Jet2 Nei S continuous inkjet printers across its production lines following a switch from a previous supplier in 2021, applying LOT numbers consistently across glass vials, plastic packaging and cardboard formats at its facility.

Founded in 1984, Prodifac develops and manufactures cosmetic products, biocides and Class I medical devices for international brands and beauty institutes. The company serves customers ranging from global beauty brands to specialist beauty institutes, with every product required to meet stringent safety and efficacy standards before reaching consumers.

The Jet2 Neo S uses a 60 micron nozzle designed for high-precision fine printing on small packaging formats, including serum ampoules, where code legibility on minimal surface area is critical. Switching between print jobs when changing packaging formats is handled directly at the printer without extensive reconfiguration.

Local technical support is provided by Codeco, Leibinger's long-standing distribution partner in the region, which Prodifac cites alongside the technology itself as a factor in its decision to standardize on the platform.

'The Leibinger printers are clean, precise, and allow us to produce without any hiccups or interruptions,' said Alain de Roany, managing director of Prodifac. 'Switching print jobs when changing packaging formats is quick, intuitive, and remarkably convenient.'
