Amcor expands Chinese flexible packaging plant

Amcor has commenced an expansion project at its flexible packaging facility in Dongguan, China, adding a 7,000 sqm manufacturing facility and automated warehouse to extend its existing campus to over 38,000 sqm, with construction expected to complete by July 2027.

The expansion will feature automated solvent-free laminators, high-speed bag-making machines and automated bag arranging systems, targeting increased production capacity and recycle-ready packaging for food, home and personal care applications. The Dongguan facility sits within Amcor's existing China network of 23 manufacturing sites and two research and development centers.
