GMG Color to debut InstantMatch at Labelexpo Europe

A new tool addresses frequent color shifts without requiring time-consuming reprofiling.

GMG Color has confirmed it will unveil GMG InstantMatch at Labelexpo Europe in Barcelona, a new technology designed to tackle frequent color shifts in pressrooms without requiring time-consuming reprofiling for converters and digital printers.

The new tool provides a press-side approach for faster makereadies, reduced waste and consistent brand color, addressing mounting industry pressures including brand demands for faster turnarounds, consistent color across multiple devices and cost and sustainability requirements.

Beta user Blue Label Packaging Company has tested the technology in production environments. 'As an all-digital printer, Blue Label Packaging Company has a unique set of challenges when it comes to managing color consistency,' a company representative noted. 'GMG InstantMatch provided us with a powerful approach for addressing the frequent, small changes at the press level that can lead to time-consuming reprofiling and maintenance. We've been able to greatly improve our print make-readies and deliver industry-leading color with the help of GMG InstantMatch.'

The technology targets specific industry challenges where every minute on press matters, digital, flexo and hybrid workflows need identical results, and reducing waste and ink usage has become business-critical. InstantMatch aims to provide converters with a practical tool to streamline production and boost profitability.

Beyond InstantMatch, GMG will demonstrate its full ecosystem of printing technology designed to eliminate guesswork in proofing, automate complex color conversions and shorten makereadies while minimizing waste. The company's approach bridges digital and conventional workflows, enabling precision whether outputting to an HP Indigo or flexo press.
