EyeC pleased with retrofit response
EyeC has said it received a positive response to its new ProofRunner Carton Retrofit module that converts practically any existing folder gluer into an inspection system for folding carton production.
The EyeC ProofRunner Carton Retrofit offers an alternative for packaging producers who wants to ensure a 100 percent print integrity, but cannot justify the investment of a new folder gluer line.
During live demonstrations at Interpack 2014, EyeC showed visitors the capabilities of this new in-line inspection system.
EyeC ProofRunner Carton Retrofit is a self-contained unit that is integrated between the folder gluer’s feeder and the pre-folding section. Composed of a camera and a vacuum belt, the EyeC ProofRunner Carton Retrofit inspects the entire carton surface (including the flaps) and uses the folder gluer’s existing ejection device to reject any defective item. The system adds only 16in (400mm) to the overall length of the folder gluer.
