Daetwyler assigns dedicated pre-press responsibilities

Gerd Koehler, senior vice president, has assumed responsibility for the sales and marketing efforts of Max Daetwyler Corporation’s pre-press products. Initially, Koehler's primary focus will be to accelerate the introduction of Laserstar technology to the gravure industry.  This transition and progression evolves from his recent position within market development and technology where he concentrated on the deployment of the MDC Laserstar within the European Market.

Koehler's contributions to MDC come from his experience in both the European and US gravure publication and packaging markets. ‘The gravure industry has and will continue to benefit highly from his specialized knowledge in front-end system technologies as both a supplier and end-user,’ said a spokesperson from the company. Throughout his career he has held management positions with prominent companies such as Quebecor Printing, Maxwell Communications and Alco Gravure.
