Leadership developments at API Foilmakers

API Foilmakers has appointed Kenny Gilmour as new managing director based at its Livingston, Scotland manufacturing center. The current managing director, Will Oldham, will complete the transition to Gilmour by the end of the year then step up to the role of chairman.

Gilmour moves to API Foilmakers from a successful career in the chemicals and thin films industry, latterly ten years with Victrex Group as group operations director. Gilmour has experience in managing multiple sites in UK, USA and China together with their complex product supply chains.  
 
Gilmour said: ‘I am delighted to be joining API Foilmakers at an exciting stage in its development – two years in from the company’s creation and coming out of the pandemic I see huge opportunities for the business and look forward to taking this high-quality business and highly committed team to new heights of success.'  
 
API Foilmakers is wholly owned by Aldus Group whose CEO, Frank Floriano, said: Oldham initiated our acquisition of API Foilmakers and has been our managing director for the last two years. During this time he successfully re-established the business, seeing consistent growth and bringing it to profitability during a very challenging period for the global economy. Oldham will continue to work with Gilmour and local management to further the successful international growth of API Foilmakers. The Aldus Group is continuing to support investments by API Foilmakers to improve further the effectiveness of its integrated manufacturing and distribution capabilities across Europe. The company is also planning further enhancements to its product range to ensure it meets the evolving needs of its global customer base.
