LATMA elects new president and board
The Australian label industry parent body, LATMA (Label and Tag Manufacturers of Australia) marked its annual general meeting in Melbourne with the retirement of long standing president, Alan Dabschek and the election of Sydney based Impresstik Labels managing director, Mark Easton.
The coming year’s Board is made up of several long serving veterans and some of the industry’s younger members.
Easton stressed to a well attended annual general meeting that the organisation’s priority in the coming year will be the continuation of discussions with its New Zealand counterpart, ANZFTA on potential operational synergies and ways in which the two bodies might work together to deliver better value to their respective memberships. The co-operation concept is underwritten by a proviso that certain and specific functions would remain unique to each.
