AWA announces charity auction

Polpel donates artwork by Brazilian artist for release liner summit fundraiser.

AWA Alexander Watson Associates has announced a charity auction at its 2026 Global Release Liner Summit in Amsterdam, featuring artwork donated by Brazilian recycler Polpel.

The summit takes place from March 11 to 13, 2026, at the Steigenberger Hotel under the theme 'Innovation and Sustainability in the Release Liner Industry'. Polpel, Latin America's leading recycler of release liner materials, is donating an original artwork titled 'Bonsai da Vida' (Bonsai of Life) created by Brazilian artist Carlos Daniel Bezerra Lauzid.

The 33-layer art piece symbolizes the synergy between cosmic inspiration and earthly growth, depicting stars, celestial guardians, hearts, flowers, birds, branching blossoms and angels integrating into a luminous bonsai.

AWA will host a live auction of the artwork during the summit, inviting delegates and their companies to bid. All proceeds will be donated to Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders.

The initiative reflects AWA's ongoing commitment to the industry's sustainability efforts. AWA has invited participating delegates and companies to secure approval in advance to bid during the auction, providing an opportunity to align corporate social responsibility with summit participation.
