Bakers donates over 1 million GBP to charities

Brentwood label manufacturer surpasses milestone after 15 years of charitable giving.

Bakers, a label manufacturer based in Brentwood, Essex, has passed 1 million GBP in charitable donations since moving to its current site in 2011, supporting more than 100 charities, community organizations and good causes over that period.

In 2026 alone, the company is supporting more than 50 organizations through the Bakers Foundation, its formalized charitable giving program. Recipients include Kids Inspire, SNAP, Challenging MND, Wipe Away Those Tears, Billericay Foodbank, Brentwood Foodbank, Saint Francis Hospice, Home-Start Essex, Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, Lennox Children's Cancer Fund, Young Lives vs Cancer and the MND Foundation. A number of this year's donations came from causes nominated directly by Bakers employees.

'Passing 1 million GBP is a milestone we're very proud of, but the number isn't really the story,' said Steve Baker, managing director of Bakers. 'The important part is what the charities and organizations we support are able to do with that funding. We meet some incredible people doing difficult and important work in our community, and we're fortunate that the success of Bakers allows us to help them.'
