CRG chairman wins charity auction at AWA Summit

Release liner artwork raises 8,500 EUR for Médecins Sans Frontières in Amsterdam.

Calvin Frost, chairman of Channeled Resources Group, made the winning bid on a charity auction piece at the 2026 AWA Global Release Liner Summit in Amsterdam, with proceeds of 8,500 EUR going to Médecins Sans Frontières.

The auctioned piece, titled Bonsai da Vida or Bonsai of Life, is an original artwork created from release liner, matrix and packaging waste, donated as part of the Summit's charitable initiative.

'It's in my DNA to support responsible management of release liner matrix and packaging waste,' said Frost. 'This piece tells that story in a powerful way. I had to have it because it reflects something CRG has believed in for a long time, finding better, more responsible ways to manage materials at the end of their life.'

Channeled Resources Group is a third-generation family-owned manufacturer of release liners, thermal labels and pressure-sensitive roll labelestock, and one of the world's largest suppliers of reprocessed, coated, treated and laminated papers and films.

'We were proud to be part of an effort that supported a great cause while also spotlighting what's possible when sustainability and creativity come together,' added Frost.
