WPO presents 2026 WorldStar Awards
400 guests from 50 countries gather for packaging excellence ceremony in Düsseldorf.
The World Packaging Organisation has presented the 2026 WorldStar Awards at a gala ceremony in Düsseldorf, bringing together around 400 guests from nearly 50 countries to recognize innovation, sustainability and excellence in packaging.
The ceremony recognized around 100 winners from more than 40 countries across main categories. A WPO Lifetime Achievement Award was also presented to Pierre Pienaar of Australia, recognized for more than four decades of contribution to packaging education, innovation and global industry development.
Award highlights across categories included the marketing gold to Dexco Deca of Brazil, the accessibility gold to Medipack of Switzerland for MED-Pack eco, and the sustainability gold to Constantia Flexibles International of Austria for Comforlid with Low Carbon Aluminum. The packaging that saves food gold went to Aran Group of Israel, while the President's Award gold was presented to Greiner Packaging International of Austria for its Click In Sealing Lid.
'Through initiatives such as WorldStar, WPO continues to connect the global packaging community, promote innovation, encourage knowledge-sharing and recognize solutions that are shaping the future of packaging worldwide,' said Luciana Pellegrino, WPO president.
Entries for WorldStar 2027 will open on July 20, 2026.
