Weavabel and osapiens partner on PPWR

Labels and packaging specialist links compliance data to physical on-pack execution

Weavabel, a global trims, packaging and labeling specialist, has announced a partnership with osapiens, an enterprise platform for product compliance and supply chain transparency, to help brands connect digital PPWR compliance data with physical packaging and labeling execution ahead of regulatory milestones from August 2026.

The partnership addresses a common challenge for brands operating across fragmented systems that separate compliance data from physical packaging production. Through osapiens' Product Compliance HUB, brands can centralize technical documentation, including material composition, recyclability data, recycled content declarations and substance information. Weavabel then translates that data into compliant packaging components and labeling, including QR codes and harmonized recycling labels aligned with PPWR reporting requirements.

Weavabel's services span woven and printed labels, hangtags, packaging, RFID, care labels and digital product passports across fashion, retail, beauty and consumer goods markets.

'PPWR is fundamentally changing how brands approach packaging compliance. Businesses can no longer treat compliance data and packaging execution as separate processes,' said Saqib Ihsan, CSR and sustainability manager at Weavabel. 'By partnering with osapiens, we are helping brands connect digital compliance management with real-world packaging solutions in a way that is practical, scalable and future-focused.'
