Identiv launches ID-Pixels 3.0 BLE smart label

Battery-free label built on Wiliot Gen3 IC delivers continuous supply chain sensing.

Identiv has launched ID-Pixels 3.0, a family of Bluetooth Low Energy inlays and labels built on Wiliot's Gen3 IC, enabling continuous sensing and tracking of goods across supply chains without batteries.

The self-adhesive label, measuring approximately 33mm x 60mm, harvests energy from ambient Bluetooth and UHF signals and captures location, temperature, humidity and light data in real time. Each label carries a unique digital ID and integrates with the Wiliot Physical AI platform to translate continuous sensor data into actionable insights for inventory tracking, shipment verification, asset tracking and cold-chain monitoring.

ID-Pixels 3.0 is targeted at retail, logistics, pharmaceutical, food and smart packaging applications at high deployment volumes. The Gen3 IC brings advances in performance, cost efficiency and sensing capability compared with previous generations, supporting higher-fidelity data capture and continuous data flow into enterprise systems.

'ID-Pixels 3.0 builds on our foundation as an early manufacturer of Wiliot-based BLE labels at scale, with a battery-free, cost-efficient solution for mass deployment,' said Dr Manfred Mueller, COO of Identiv. 'Combining BLE, sensing and a unique digital identity in a single label, it enables real-time visibility and condition monitoring across physical supply chains.'

'With the recently released Gen3 capabilities, coupled with our Physical AI platform, we're building on that collaboration to expand the availability of tags and strengthen the ecosystem,' said Amir Khoshniyati, vice president at Wiliot.
