Brotech showcases AI flexo press

The FFX530 platform received quotation requests from more than 100 converters in Shanghai.

Brotech has reported strong interest in its FFX530 AI-driven flexo press at Labelexpo Asia 2025, with more than 100 printing companies requesting quotations following demonstrations at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from December 2 to 5.

The press attracted visitors from China, Southeast Asia, Europe and the Americas, with over 300 companies conducting technical discussions at the booth. Interest came from converters in labels, flexible packaging, pharmaceutical and food packaging sectors, plus material suppliers, ink manufacturers and inspection system providers.

The FFX530 features AI-driven closed-loop control designed to reduce manual adjustments during setup and operation. The system handles routine corrections for ink conditions and environmental changes through algorithms, allowing operators to focus on monitoring production conditions and managing quality control.

'Many routine adjustments that previously required repeated operator intervention are now handled by algorithms on this platform,' said Brotech in a statement. 'Operators can be freed from high-frequency mechanical adjustments and focus on monitoring overall operating conditions, reviewing key quality points and handling abnormal conditions.'

The platform supports integration with third-party quality management systems, including X-Rite ColorCert and MeasureColor, generating standardized reports that can link with ERP and MES systems. Brotech reported the press demonstrated reduced waste during setup phases and faster job changeover compared to conventional flexo lines.

The company plans to launch a global demonstration tour covering Europe, North America, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, plus release technical documentation explaining the system architecture.
