Hyde moves to new facility in Guangzhou
The Chinese flexographic press manufacturer's new plant spans 12,000 sqm and employs more than 60 staff.
Chinese flexographic press manufacturer Hyde has officially moved into a new production facility in Guangzhou, marking the occasion with a grand opening ceremony attended by around 150 guests from printing companies, suppliers and industry media.
The new plant spans 12,000 sqm and employs more than 60 staff.
Founded in 2001, Hyde has expanded the business from a component supplier to a press manufacturer. In 2016, Hyde launched its first flexographic press for the label industry. Its product lineup now includes the i3S, i5S, i5S Pro, i6S series and i6S hybrid (in coordination with Arojet, a UV inkjet press supplier), covering the labels, flexible packaging and folding cartons markets. The company posted an annual output value of over 120 million RMB (17.48 million USD) in 2025.
Wu Chongjun, general manager of Hyde, stated: ‘It took only seven months to complete the relocation to this new factory. We have not only expanded production capacity and standardized manufacturing processes but also accelerated our development into high-end intelligent equipment manufacturing through the dual drive of smart equipment and intelligent manufacturing.’
With over 20 years of R&D experience in flexographic press manufacturing, Hyde has built four core technological strengths: modular design, ultra-short paper paths, intelligent control and high reliability. Its technology can integrate with gravure, screen printing and other printing modules to meet diverse customer production requirements.
The company integrates high-end drive technologies from Kollmorgen, Heidenhain and Siemens. Servo motor speed fluctuation is strictly controlled at 0.5-1 percent – four times more precise than the industry average of 3-5 percent – effectively reducing banding and improving print quality.
Hyde has also partnered with Luster to develop China’s first mature CCD visual registration system, enabling in-line inspection for flexographic presses and further enhancing registration accuracy and production stability.
Hyde has begun R&D on its new i7S series gearless flexographic press. The model features a horizontal anilox, plate and impression roller configuration to minimize transmission errors and achieve printing precision.
Its products have gained wide recognition worldwide. Overseas business now accounts for one-third of their total sales.
Hyde is also actively integrating AI into equipment control and workflow optimization, simplifying operations and helping customers achieve intelligent production transformation.
During the ceremony, Huaxin, Meikei and Dinghui signed orders for new flexo presses. Among them, Meikei has already installed seven Hyde flexo presses.
