Convertec installs first Braillemaker One in India

Sweden-based Convertec has installed its first Braillemaker One digital printing and inspection machine in the Asian subcontinent.
An unnamed European-headquartered converter installed the region’s first Braillemaker One at its label printing plant outside New Delhi, India, in February. Convertec’s local agent Creed Engineers assisted in the installation.
The new machine aims to meet the demand for Braille printing of pharmaceutical products exported from India, one of the leading exporters of pharmaceutical products to Europe. The Braillemaker One, equipped with 100 percent inspection, is designed to print on plain labels, leaflets for cartons, booklets and multi-ply pharmaceutical labels.
Convertec says that a new version of the Braillemaker One will be launched at Labelexpo Europe 2011, held in Brussels in September.
