AB Graphic to show packaging solutions at Labelexpo Americas
- Host of technologies to finishing for packaging and label markets
- Labelexpo Americas 2012 takes place in Chicago on September 11-13
AB Graphic International will showcase a range of converting and finishing equipment for traditional and digitally printed labels, packaging and cartons on its stand at Labelexpo Americas 2012.
Converting lines being demonstrated on stand 3226 include the Digicon Lite entry-level model, and a Series 2, high-speed Digicon running on or off line with an HP WS6600 press, a set-up which is suitable for folding carton production.
To illustrate the effectiveness of printing small order quantities for cartons, AB Graphic has joined forces with cutting and creasing equipment manufacturer KAMA to show a Digicon folding carton solution with flat bed die cutting and creasing capabilities. A similar system can be seen here.
A similar version aimed at high-quality, prime label production will also be shown, featuring semi-rotary flexo and die cutting capabilities, as well as hot foil stamping and embossing.
Also on show will be an automatic flexible die loading system.
From its Vectra range, the company will demonstrate its SGTR1300-4 glueless turret rewinder and ECTR1700-4 model now available in 17in format. These will run together with Omega converting and unwinding equipment demonstrating start-to-finish solutions.
An entry-level HSR1700 inspection slitter/rewinder will be introduced with Flytec, PC-based vision inspection and, for the first time in the US, the company’s FAST. (fully automatic slitting terminal) system will be shown demonstrating servo precise, rapid slitter knife setting.
