Bobst opens new packaging options with Capacity Fold

Herbert Walkers has installed the UK’s first Bobst Capacity Fold device, fitted to its Bobst Expertfold carton gluer.
 
According to Andy Christie, sales director of Herbert Walkers: ‘We like to pioneer specialist services and finishes, and the Capacity Fold unit will allow us to produce packaging with a capacity of up to 15mm. It will speed up turnaround and reduce cost to customers.’
 
The new Bobst unit, which can be fitted to the company’s Visionfold, Expertfold, Ambition, or Media folder gluers, allows inline production of a process previously handled offline.  Lee Alton, area sales manager for Bobst, said: ‘Stand-alone, off-line equipment is time-consuming to set. Once the Capacity Fold unit has been fitted, it can be removed and remounted easily, with intuitive setting taking place offline.’
