Edale holds third distributor training event

UK-based press manufacturer Edale held its third annual distributor training event on March 8-9. The event saw 20 distributors from around the world travel to Manchester to partake in two days of product training, including visits to two Edale customers and a demonstration of the new web fed flatbed die-cutting machine, the FDC-510.

On the first day, the distributors were taken to see short run folding carton supplier Reelvision Print, which runs two Edale Gamma flexo systems and is the first company to purchase the new FDC-510.

Distributors were taken on a tour of the factory before Gareth Bakewell, joint MD of Reelvision, and James Boughton, MD of Edale, gave a presentation followed by Q&A session. The afternoon and following day saw the group head to a conference center in Manchester where the Edale sales team were on hand to talk about existing products and future developments. Helmut Weidmann, MD of Grafitech, Edale’s distributor in Germany, also gave a presentation.

Tomasz Marczewski, president of ITTP, Edale’s Polish distributor, said: ‘Once again Edale have proved themselves to be a brand which outdistances market trends, offering the most modern flexographic printing and packaging solutions for a wide variety of sectors. Both customer visits made a great impression, which helped me learn about unknown possibilities of the machines presented. The possibilities, the efficiency, the work quality and the adaptation to non-typical printing and converting jobs, was of huge benefit. Visits to working production lines are an excellent inspiration to business development, giving the real picture of how flexible these machines are.’
