Israeli firm pairs direct-to-pack solution with Duran Machinery Omega series

Israeli firm Highcon and Turkey’s Duran Machinery have entered a marketing and development cooperation that sees folding cartons cut and creased on the new Euclid digital solution (pictured, top) passed to Omega folder gluers.

The Highcon Euclid digital creasing and cutting solution is being hailed as a “revolution” in carton production, turning a traditionally analogue process into a digital one. Duran Machinery has established Omega as one of the leading folder gluer brands.

Both companies will discuss the partnership during Drupa, on their stands in hall 4 (Highcon) and hall 10 (Duran Machinery).

Chris Baker, Highcon vice president of sales and business development, said: ‘Once packages have been cut and creased on the Highcon Euclid they need to continue smoothly to the folding gluing station. Therefore we are delighted that one of the industry leaders has agreed to cooperate with us. We firmly believe the new Highcon direct-to-pack category will be an industry game-changer.’

Pinar Kucukaras, Duran Machinery sales and marketing director, said: ‘Duran Machinery has already demonstrated its commitment to packaging solutions. We have been impressed with the direction that the Highcon team is taking and are pleased to be able to cooperate on ensuring a seamless integration with our machines which are installed in over 50 countries around the world.’
