Laem System goes back to the future at Drupa 2012

Italian flexible packaging converting machinery manufacturer Laem System is to demonstrate an older model of its slitter rewinder technology at Drupa 2012 with the aim of showing visitors to its stand that, ‘there’s no need to wait, the future is already here’.
Laem System is to co-exhibit alongside Italian automation and logistics specialist Eutro Log, with the stand featuring an example of the final stage of a packaging production facility. The model RB4-1400 slitter rewinder will output finished reels onto a high-tech robot system able to perform a quality check, label and wrap each reel, palletize them and stock them.
Davide Malki, president of Laem System, said: ‘Although the best slitter rewinder for this production line is the brand new model TR4, which is a fully automatic heavy-duty, high-performance slitter rewinder with non-stop production, we have decided to take our RB4 slitter rewinder to the trade fair.
‘Despite its reduced automation, it has greater flexibility and an excellent quality/price ratio so that visitors to our stand will see that there’s no need to wait, the future is already here.’
The new TR4 will be on show at Drupa 2012, with features highlighted on a giant plasma screen and demonstrations taking place twice a day, on the stand in hall 12.
