Maxcess’ Tidland blade sharpening system wins award

Maxcess, a manufacturer of web handling equipment, has received the 2012 Technology of the Year award from the Association of International Metallizers, Coaters and Laminators (Aimcal) for Tidland's blade sharpening system. According to Aimcal, the judges were impressed by the blade sharpening system ‘because it turns an arduous chore into an easily accomplished task’.

‘As a result, I think it will have a positive impact on quality since it will encourage everyone to sharpen their blades more often,’ predicted one judge.

This award follows a recent win in 2009 for Aimcal’s Technology of the Year for the e-Knifeholder, Tidland's all-electronic knifeholder.
