Prati to host open house at new premises

Italy-based Prati will host an open house on March 9-11 at its new headquarters in Faenza, in the Ravenna district. Attendees will see live demonstrations of the company’s Vegaplus and Vegaplus Booklet label finishing lines, the Saturn and Jupiter slitter rewinders, and the Pharmacheck system.
The move to new premises follows a period of strong growth, which saw Prati double its year-on-year turnover in 2010. At 3,300 square meters, the Faenza site is more than four times larger than Prati’s previous premises. Approximately 1,500 square meters are dedicated to production, while the open house will be staged in the company’s 650 square meter showroom.
Chiara Prati, sales director at Prati, said: ‘The Prati open house is an excellent opportunity for label printers to learn how they can improve their print environments and work more profitably. We’ll be demonstrating some of our leading systems so attendees can get a better understanding of the impact they could have on their own set-ups.
‘The open house is also a major milestone in Prati’s expansion strategy. The event marks the official opening of our larger headquarters and production facilities, which will help us build on our success and spur further growth.’
The new site will see the use of eco-friendly label materials and office furniture. In addition, electricity for the offices is supplied by solar panels, while the electricity for production is generated by a geothermic system.
‘We’ve significantly increased our activities in Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and the Americas, so we needed production facilities that could service burgeoning demand,” explained Chiara Prati. ‘2010 was a great success for Prati. With larger premises and an ever-growing presence, we are optimistic that our solid growth will continue.’
